Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary

Mater Dolorosa, Latin for "Mother of Sorrows," is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in honor of the intense suffering and grief she endured, especially during the Passion and death of her Son, Jesus Christ. Often depicted with a sorrowful expression and a heart pierced by seven swords—symbolizing her Seven Sorrows—Mater Dolorosa embodies the compassionate and enduring love of a mother who shares fully in her child's suffering. Devotion to her under this title invites the faithful to reflect deeply on Mary’s pain and to find in her a source of strength, comfort, and intercession in times of personal sorrow and hardship.

This "Our Lady of Sorrows" rosary includes a beautiful blue pendant that's attached to the crucifix and depicts our lady in her suffering. It also includes a medal that has engraved "Mater Dolorosa" on one side, and on the back side it has a picture of Christ and has engraved "Ecce Homo".

The crucifix and miraculous medal are silver and made in Italy.
